BJP pays tributes to Dr Mookherjee

JAMMU: To celebrate Birth Anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder President, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised programmes across the State.
Party leaders, ministers, MLAs, MLCs visited different districts to lead the local activists to pay tributes.
In two separate programmes held at Trikuta Nagar and Kachi Chawni offices, BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora (Adv.), District Presidents Ayodhya Gupta and Baldev Singh Billawaria and Mahila Morcha State President Purnima Sharma, garlanded and laid wreaths at the statue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee.
Sat Sharma said that Dr. Mookherjee gave a new direction to the people who wanted complete integration of this State with the rest of the country.
He said that although this great leader was not born in J and K but had pain for the people of this State and proved the same by sacrificing his life.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while paying tributes at Samba, said that Dr. Mookherjee was an institution in himself which represented a visionary leader, a great patriot and good human being, who never compromised on principles.
Ashok Kaul spoke in length on various aspects of the life of Dr. Mookherjee and said that it was on the call of Pt. Premnath Dogra that Dr. Mookherjee took the initiative to protest permit system and provision of separate symbols in J and K.
Ashok Khajuria said that although Dr. Mookherjee is not live but he still remains in our minds to remind us the incomplete task he has left.
Ramesh Arora and Rajesh Gupta also paid tributes to Dr. Mookherjee.
Similarly, Industries and Commerce Minister Chander Prakash Ganga joined party activists to pay tributes at Poonch.
PHE Minister Sham Choudhary paid tributes, alongwith local activists in a programme at Kathua.
