SRINAGAR:Revenue Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari on Thursday ordered suspension of Tehsildar Khor and some CA&PD officials for including the name of MLA Chamb Dr. Krishan Lal in the BPL list.
He also said that DC Jammu will enquire into the matter,
MLA Engineer Rashid said that his name was also included in the BPL List in Langate but he asked Tehsildar to exclude his name from the list. The Minister assured the Member that action will be taken against the Tehsildar Langate, if the allegation proved true.
MLA Chhamb had earlier complained with the government that his name has been wrongly incorporated in the BPL list.
In Legislative Assembly, the minister said that the Deputy Commissioner Jammu has been directed to enquire the negligence and prepare a report within 7 days in this regard.
“Message should go from this House that anybody found indulging in any wrongdoing at ground level won’t be tolerated,” the minister said adding that it was a continuous process of Government to rectify any misdeeds.
On the occasion Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Ch. Zulfkar Ali announced suspension of concerned employees who are responsible for the error in the list.
