Consequent upon the news item in the print media of state, I am reminded of one old common spoken verse, Bahut shore sunte they pehloo mein dil ka, magar jab cheera to ik qatra khoon bhi na nikla, perhaps this is the outcome of the more than two years performance of our BJP legislatures and ministers from the Jammu region in the coalition government. To become a legislator, an MP or a minister is just like one time investment and whole life benefit. Many covetous MLAs and Ministers instead of serving the gullible voters consider themselves not less than the monarchs of a principality because they feel as if they have been provided license and free hand to mint money by underhand means and by encroaching upon the revenue, forest lands, occupying the grazing pastures , khuds, gorges and the forest lands and establishing their profit giving Public schools, professional colleges and industries to serve as a permanent source of income when they are no more on the chair or in the world.
Ram Madhav, a Party in charge for Jammu and Kashmir, is fully justified when he fires and lashes the state BJP Ministers for the dereliction of their duties in the state which has been aspiring for BJP participation in the formation of state government since the independence. All the hopes of the people from the Jammu region were dashed to the ground the day our 25 honorable MLA took over the oath of their offices. These MLAs and Ministers boycotted their relations from the common man and prefered the company of the sycophants, touts, mafia and the power brokers. They neither respond letters/applications nor do they attend telephone call of any ordinary person or office bearer. There is no liaison found between the ground level worker and the elected legislators after elections except chaos and infight. No Minister ever visits the constituencies other than their own. Some Ministers have started their transfer industries on the name of their better halves, whereas some are making hay while the sun shines. One of the state cabinet minister known for cacophony, nonsense behavior is both running his industries and using the product brazenly in the Forest Department without calling the tenders. The whole BJP party has started running on the way of politics of heritance, castism, nepotism and what not which is harmful for any national party to flourish and expand in future. For instance Jammu BJP is dominated by the rich Jammuits, some districts for instance are dominated by one cast, the better halves of many ministers have been designated as vice presidents of the party whereas their raw sons have been appointed as district president The members of the party organisation who are supposed to act as ombudsman are also hands in glove with lactating ministers and busy in grinding about their own axis unmindful about the future prospects of the national, patriotic political party of the country. If this practice is not nipped into the bed soon, the BJP party is sure to meet its waterloo in the future elections and the nepotism, sycophancy, covetousness will prove a Trozen hors for the pafty.
