RAMBAN : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Girdhari Lal Bhagat, who had filed his nomination papers as BJP candidate from Ramban Assembly Constituency a few days ago joined National Conference after announcing his retirement from the contest.
Bhagat joined in presence of Chief Minister and Working President of National Conference Omar Abduallh in a rally at Ramban. Omar welcomed Bhagat in the party-fold and said this will further strengthen the party at the grass roots level.
Bhagat pledged his support to National Conference candidate Dr Chaman Lal, saying he and his supporters would work for ensuring his victory with a huge margin.
Provincial President Devender Singh Rana was also present on the occasion.
