JAMMU: Former Minister and General Secretary PCC, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma condemned BJP over its complete surrender before PDP for the lust of power in the J and K State for which the nationalist people of State will pay heavy cost in future.
“BJP failed on all fronts due to its confused approach in dealing with the security and other national issues and this will lead to a big turmoil in the State,” he said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
Sharma said the people living in all the three regions of the State viz Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir are disappointed with the working of BJP leadership both in State and Centre. “Except false slogans and rhetoric, BJP has not delivered anything on ground and as a result people are feeling deceived “, he maintained.
On Kashmir unrest, he asked the Government of India to convene all party meeting of all three regions of the State to take the view, discuss and find out the solution to resolve the crisis.
“Due to unrest in Kashmir, pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi, Budha Amarnath and Amarnath Yatra has been adversely affected giving a dint to tourism and economy of the State”, he pointed out.
Referring to impact of Kashmir unrest on the Amarnath Yatra, he said that this Yatra has seen drastic fall in number of devotees after BJP took the charge of State in alliance with PDP.
