JAMMU: Former Minister and Senior BJP leader Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar has apprised LG Manoj Sinha about the higher CLU rate in case of land falling under JDA even in rural Jammu areas.
In a written communication, Ch Sukhnandan Kumar has stated that the JDA is charging 5 per cent of the highest stamp duty rate for C.L.U for all lands falling under its Master Plan.
Moreover, the stamp duty rates are different in every village falling under the JDA master plan.
The former Minister said that the stamp duty rate of village Shamachak is Rs 10 lakh per kanal and stamp duty rate of Gandhi Nagar is Rs 2.10 Crore per kanal and the JDA is charging the 5 per cent of the highest rate everywhere, even in rural Jammu areas. Ch Sukhnandan Kumar said that the people living in different villages recently notified by the JDA in Master Plan have to pay the CLU fee which is higher than the actual rate of their land.
Keeping in view the above, the former BJP Minister has demanded that the JDA authorities be directed to reconsider the fee of CLU and the fee for CLU be charged as per stamp duty rates of different villages falling under Master Plan in the interest of justice for all the residents of rural Jammu.
The senior BJP leader has also written a representation to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for consideration of CLU rate in respect of the land falling under JDA, Master Plan.
LG Manoj Sinha has agreed to our demand and in few days the orders in this regard are likely to be issued, said ex-BJP minister Sukhnandan Kumar.
