BJP committed to Nation-Building, development and progress: Slathia

SAMBA: MLA Samba, Surjeet Singh Slathia, on Saturday reaffirmed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) commitment to nation-building and ensuring inclusive progress for all sections of society, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.
He was speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of an Over Head Tank (OHT) at Village Chak Medu Basotra Supwal, located in the Samba Assembly Constituency.
During the event, Slathia, who is also the Vice President of the BJP’s Pradesh unit, highlighted the significant strides made in the development of Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
He emphasized that over the last five years, the region has witnessed holistic development across all sectors, including infrastructure, economic growth, and technological advancements.
He further assured the locals that the BJP would continue to monitor the governance, ensuring that the momentum of progress is maintained, and no attempts to derail it will be tolerated.
Slathia also stressed the party’s focus on policies that prioritize national interests while addressing the aspirations of every citizen, regardless of region, religion, or caste. He underscored the BJP’s dedication to good governance, empowerment, and inclusive development.
The OHT project, estimated at Rs 3.57 crore, will involve the construction of a 30,000-gallon OHT, a 20,000-gallon tank, a pump room, electric substation, and related infrastructure. The development aims to improve water supply and infrastructure in the region.
Slathia listened to the concerns of the locals, assuring them that their issues would be taken up for prompt resolution. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Ex-Sarpanch Brijpal Singh and local leaders such as Gandara Singh and Tara Singh.
