JAMMU: The BJP on Friday appointed new presidents of its 50 Mandal units in Jammu region to give a fillip to its outreach and activities at the grassroots level.
The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit president, Ravinder Raina, in consultation with other senior leaders, made the appointments, a party spokesperson said.
In Basohli District, Vishal Singh has been nominated as Mandal President of Mandli; Gian Chand of Dhar Mahanpur; and Dhani Ram of Duggan.
In Kathua District, Gain Singh has been nominated as Mandal President of Jasrota; Randhir Singh of Logate; Ajay Sharma of Lakhanpur; and Samwar Singh Salaria as Mandal President of Dinga Mandal.
In Samba District, Ankush Mahajan has been nominated as Mandal President of Samba; Rajesh Upadhaya of Ghagwal; Ch. Shiv Kumar of Ramgarh; Brij Paul Singh of Gurha Slathia; Shamsher Singh of Baba Sidhgoria; Kulbhushan Singh Jasrotia as Mandal President of Rajpura Bainglad.
In Udhampur District, Mani Ram has been nominated as Mandal President of Narsoo; Capt. Gopal Singh Mankotia of MAjalta; Mohan Lal Sharma as Mandal President of Khoon.
In Reasi District, Ramesh Kumar Sharma has been nominated as Mandal President of Dhansar Babal Pawan Singh of Bhomag; Ajay Seth of Pouni; Abdul Majid as Mandal President of Gulabgarh.
In RS Pura District, Vikas Dogra has been nominated as Mandal President of Chohala-Rathana; Rakesh Kumar of Khairi-Rehaal; Vikram Sandhu as Mandal President of RS Pura.
In Jammu West District, Atul Bakshi has been nominated as Mandal President of Rehari-Bakshi Nagar.
In Jammu District, Bharat Bhushan has been nominated as Mandal President of Gandhi Nagar; Neeraj Lucky Puri of Trikuta Nagar; Ranjeet Singh of Kunjwani; Vijay Sharma of Gadigarh and Raman Sharma as Mandal President of Ambphalla.
In Jammu Rural District, Bharat Bhushan has been nominated as Mandal President of Gho Manhasan; Vikramjeet Singh Manhas of Marh; Ashok Kerni of Amb Ghrota; Ajay Sharma of Bajalta; Harsh Sharma of Nagrota; Rakesh Singh as Mandal President of Raipur Domana.
In Nowshera District, Shubham Sharma has been nominated as Mandal President of Lambari; Ajay Choudhary of Nowshera-Bhawani; Ravinder Kumar of Seri; Vikram Singh of Solki; Ram Pal Bali as Mandal President of Kalakote.
In Rajouri District, Kulbir Singh has been nominated as Mandal President of Rajouri North; Babu Ram of Muradhpur; Amit Sharma of Dongi Chingus; Capt Baldev Singh of Peedi; Nazir Mohammad of Budhal; Gain Chand as Mandal President of Khawas.
In Ramban District, Raghuveer Singh has been nominated as Mandal President of Ukhral.
In Doda District, Surjeet Singh Thakur has been nominated as Mandal President of Dessa.
In Kishtwar District, Bansi Lal Bhagat has been nominated as Mandal President of Kishtwar; Ravinder Sen of Dool Pochhal.
The assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir are expected to be held after the revision of electoral rolls.
The assembly polls will be the first since Jammu and Kashmir’s special status under Article 370 of the Constitution was abrogated and the state was bifurcated into Union territories in August 2019.
