Bhopal, Assam, Uttarakhand, MP win respective matches

Jammu: Bhopal, Assam, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh won their respective group matches on the second day of the Fifth Hockey India Sub-Junior Boys’ National Hockey (Division-B) Championship which began at KK Hakku Stadium, here on Thursday.
The first clash of the day concluded in favour of Hockey Bhopal which with an excellent field work defeated Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 7-3. Faizan Udain (5th min, 34 min), Adnan Sheikh (8th min, 20th min), Wisaam Baig (13th min, 60th min) and Imad Uddin (15th min) scored goal for Hockey Bhopal while Ameen Rogay (21st min), Ajit Yadav (34th min) and Jay Parmar (45th min) scored goal for The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd.
The second battle of the day between Assam Hockey and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Hockey Association was an intense game won by Assam Hockey which defeated the opponents 4-2.
For Assam, Dibyajyoti Biswas (20th min), Nazrul Islam (30th min), Arjun Bhagat (38th min) and Manish Sahani (15th min) scored goals while Sanjay Chaturvedi (67th min) and Kawalpreet Singh (69th min) made goal for Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
The third match between Hockey Uttarakhand and Kerala Hockey was an obvious win for Hockey Uttarakhand which blanked Kerala Hockey 9-0.
Uttarakhand bagged nine goals with Sumit Kumar (11th min, 13th min, 16th min, 17th min, 54th min), Boby Dhami (12th min, 31st min, 59th min), Pardeep Bisht (9th min).
The day concluded with a win for Hockey Madhya Pradesh which with a good lead defeated Hockey Rajasthan 6-2.
Madhya Pradesh with the help of Vijay Yadav (8th min, 5th min), Krishna Murari Yadav (47th min), Kuwer Singh Marvi (54th min, 67th min), Rishi Mahobia (64th min) bagged six goals while Rajasthan got two goals courtesy Arvind Tanwar (12th min) and Urmil Kumar Sharma (56th min).
