Bhim meets people in Kashmir, discusses unrest

JAMMU: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party on Wednesday met several people from different political and social backgrounds, lawyers of the High Court and also visited colleges and schools in the city of Srinagar and gauged the mood of the people besides listening to their plight.
He also met Director General of Police, K. Rajendra and several opposition leaders from different walks including Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, one of the foremost Hurriyat Conference leaders. Bhat was of the strong view that Indo-Pak dialogue should continue in the interest of peace in the sub-continent.
Prof. Bhim Singh also called a meeting of Panthers Party leaders. Singh however, regretted that he could not manage to visit places including Anantnag, Budgam, Sopore, Baramulla and Karnah.
He hoped that peace shall return to Valley and the people of Kashmir will be out of the present situation and siege.
