Bhartiya Kala Sangam presents comedy play ‘Kanjoos’

JAMMU: Bhartiya Kala Sangam (BKS) Jammu in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi staged a comedy play ‘Kanjoos’ at Abhinav Theater, here.
Deputy Commissioner Relief, Harvinder Kour, was the Chief Guest whereas Savita Bakshi former Additional Secretary presided over the function. Rita Jatinder, Shoba Ram, Sohail Kazmi (Patron-in-chief), Leela Jamwal (Advisor) Bhartiya Kala Sangam were present.
Welcoming the audience, T.R Sharma, Chairman BKS, Jammu, said that the club was established in 1980 and that during this period the club has organised various culture events in as well as outside the State.
“The main objective of BKS is to provide platform to the young generation especially the budding artists so that their hidden talent is explored,” he said adding that the doors of BKS Jammu are always open for the artists to perform on the stage.
The play was written by Moliera and translated by Hazrat Aawara and directed by Ramesh Singh Chib in which leading theater artists participated.
Director BKS, Ramesh Singh Chib presented vote of thanks and the programme was conducted by Rajni Sharma.
