JAMMU: Bhartiya Kala Sangam celebrated New Year by organising a dancing programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Raipur, Satwari here on Friday.
Inspector General of Police, J.P Singh presided over the function while President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Rakesh Gupta was the Chief Guest and Vice President, CCI, Deepak Aggarwal, Inspector Kulbir Singh SHO Police Station, Satwari and Jeet Singh Choudhary were the Guests of Honour. Chairman of Bhartiya Kala Sangam (KAS Retd), T.R Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Rakesh Gupta appreciated the efforts being made by Bhartiya Kala Sangam to keep alive the cultural traditions of Jammu region.
J.P Singh appreciated the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam for promoting Dogri Culture and linking new generation with their roots.
Director, Bhartiya Kala Sangam, Ramesh Singh highlighted various cultural activities organised by Bhartiya Kala Sangam and assured that the forum of Bhartiya Kala Sangam is always open for the artists.
The artists who performed on the occasion include Anjana Poudwal, Ruchika, Geetanjali, Rakhi, Gurbinder, Sunny Mujoo, Vicky, Nazz Salaria, Nuny Salaria, Heena, Asha Kotwal, Ritu Manhas and Bunty.
The programme was conducted by Rajani Sharma, renowned Anchor Radio and TV while the vote of thanks was presented by Ramesh Singh Chib.
