JAMMU: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Gandhi Nagar Branch, carried out plantation drive in the campus of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, here on Friday.
About 100 saplings of evergreen, herbal, ornamental and forestry were planted in the campus.
Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Jammu Prof Anju Bhasin was the Special Guest while Principal of the College, Prof. Dr. Koushal Samotra was the Chief Guest and J and K Prant President BVP Amita Sharma was Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Dr. Ashok Kalsotra, Secretary BVP apprised the gathering about the working of the Parishad. He thanked the principal and Prof. Dr. Meeru Abrol, Prof. Dr A. Malik and students for co-operation and enthusiastic participation. Jagjit Singh Isher and Bopal Dutta were the Chief Organisers.
Prant Office bearers of BVP Jammu along with Heads of different Branches and members of Gandhi Nagar Branch were present during the plantation drive.
