Bharat releases PDP’s pro-people agenda

JAMMU: Peoples Democratic Party leader and its candidate for Jammu East Constituency, Bharat Chowdhary on Monday came up with his own election manifesto for the people of the constituency.
Bharat, who described it his written “vision document” for the people of his constituency, said it also had the approval of the party high command.
PDP candidate, in the manifesto, ensured development of Jammu as a modern City by its inclusion in Prime Minister’s 100 Smart Cities project.
Promotion of Old Jammu City as a heritage city and an independent tourist destination by developing areas like Raghunath Bazaar, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Peer Kho-Bahu Fort Ropeway, Tawi Lake, Jamia Masjid Markaz, Gurudwara Bibi Chand Kaur, St. Paul Church etc are in his manifesto.
He also assured work for improving basic infrastructure of Jammu City to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water, electricity and other basic amenities especially-upgradation of old wire conductors, transformers and other electricity distribution equipment.
Decongestion in the City by making additional parking areas and converting existing to multi-level parking at various locations, improve sanitary conditions by speedy completion of underground sewerage project and proper solid waste management, upgradation and expansion the education system by improving the physical and teaching infrastructure of schools in the City, creation of more employment opportunities for the youth by imparting them job oriented vocational training and creating govt, backed self help groups especially for women, upgradation of the health infrastructure especially for senior citizens by reviving evening dispensaries and special women and child clinics, creation of Senior Citizen Recreation Centers for their healthy interactions, developing Circular Road and River Tawi front as a tourist destination as well as for morning walkers, are his agenda, manifesto read.
