JAMMU: Calling Asifa as daughter of Jammu, the innocent small girl who was kidnapped and then found murdered in Rasana village in district Kathua, Bharat Raksha Manch (BRM) on Friday said that all Jammuites irrespective of caste, creed and religion want justice for the victim family.
“We demand CBI probe into the matter as there have been several flip-flops in the investigation which was initially done by the regular local police and then Crime Branch which is again a wing of the State Police,” Vinod Kumar Gupta National Vice President BRM told reporters here on Friday.
He said, right from day one the role of the police remained under suspicion as one of its own man have been arrayed as accused in the case now therefore it is imperative and in the best interest of the justice that this case be handed over to a neutral and credible investigation agency, the CBI.
Expressing shock and annoyance over the recent reports of migration of Hindu population from Rasana village because of atrocities done by the police, Advocate Hunar Gupta,
State Working President BRM said this is not only unconstitutional and inhumane that now some officers of the Police Department are making selective targets to implicate people in this case.
Hunar said, this is a criminal conspiracy to change the demography of the Jammu region where only four districts are left as Hindu majority and now some vicious minds even want to enforce their migration on the pattern of Kashmir where Kashmiri Pandits were forcefully thrown out of their homeland.
Highlighting the media reports about increase of criminal acts in Jammu committed by the illegal Rohingyas and threat to security of Jammu, Hunar said, it is unfortunate that State Government is not taking concrete steps to deport them back to their native land.
Appreciating the graffiti by Jammu youth demanding deportation of Rohingyas, he said this is an attention call for the State Government to listen to the voice of youth and take appropriate action in this regard.
Dr. Yograj Padha State Vice President BRM, Rajinder Malhotra and Govind Malviya were also present in the press conference.
