Bhalla dedicates upgraded 5 HS, 4 HSS to Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU: Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla on Friday said that technical workers are playing vital role in redesigning the profile of the State through their planning, adding that they are the main architect in completing the ongoing projects of the State within stipulated time frame.

This was stated by the minister while addressing a huge gathering of technical workers at Marble Market in Trikuta Nagar on Prakash Utsav of Lord Vishawkarma Day, here.
Remembering the Lord Vishwakarma, Bhalla paid tributes to the founder of craft, art, architecture and engineering and was known as the God of carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, and masons.
The minister said Lord Vishwakarma was as great as the other deities because all our religious scriptures contain episodes of his glorious contributions.
Bhalla appealed to the people to improve their vocational skills following the message of Lord Vishwakarma to enhance their abilities of capturing new job opportunities created with the induction of modern technology, which he described would be the real tribute to Lord Vishwakarama.
The minister said Lord Vishwakaram is believed to be the architect and the master of all machinery and equipments of Gods. He said to further improve the State of affairs advanced training in the engineering, architecture and construction should be given. He said the followers of Lord Vishwakarma had made substantial contributions in various fields including religion, industry and patriotism.
Earlier, the Minister also inaugurated multipurpose community hall at Bazigar Basti in Bahu Fort, for which government has spent Rs.70 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that today inaugurated hall would utilize by the Bazigar Bhardari by arranging their social as well as religious function their on minimum rates.
Later, the Minister also dedicated newly upgraded five Government High School (HS) to Government Higher Secondary School at Bathindi, Raipur Satwari, Chatta, Narwal Balla, Bhour Camp besides four Middle School to Government High School at Channi Himmat, Babliana, Beermeni in Sunjwan and Chatta.
After inaugurating the newly upgraded schools in various areas of the Gandhi Nagar, Bhalla said that government is making all out efforts in spreading the reach of education upto one kilometre distance of every locality of the State. He informed that free education is being extended to below poverty line students. Besides, government provides free books, mid-day meal and uniforms he added saying that scores of schools have been opened and upgraded in every nook and corner of the state under RAMSA and SSA.
Bhalla said government is committed to develop every corner of the State on modern lines, adding that peace is a vital tool for taking the developmental to the logical conclusion. He said government has ensured good governance for the effective implementation of various welfare programmes so that more and more people get benefitted.
