RAJOURI: B Tech ECE lifted the football title defeating B Tech CSE in the tournament, organised by Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri in the campus ground, here on Wednesday.
A total of 11 teams of post graduate and under graduate departments of the university participated in the four-day tournament.
During the course of matches, the university selected its football team to represent the university in the forthcoming North Zone Inter University Championship likely to be held by Punjab University Chandigarh.
The final match was supervised by R.C Bhat while Burhan and Hakak acted as Lines Judges.
The valedictory function was presided over by Vice Chancellor of BGSB University, Prof I.A Hamal while Registrar of the University, M.R Chowdhary was Guest of Honour.
Prof Hamal highlighted the importance of games and sports in day to day life of youth.
Prominent persons present were Prof A.K Koul Dean Academics Affairs, Prof S.K Gupta HoD School of Management Studies, Col. K.K Dogra Principal Polytechnic Collage, Suneet Gupta Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Parvaz Alam, Manik Grouch and Vishal Puri.
The tournament was organized by university management under the supervision of Mohammad Din Deputy Director, Physical Education and Sports of the University.
