BGSBU beat Haridwar in opening football match

Rajouri: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri won opening match of North Zone Inter-University Football Championship defeating Haridawar University at Chandigarh.
Vice Chancellor, BGSBU, Prof Irshad A Hamal congratulated the team.
In the opening match between BGSBU won the first round. Deputy Director of University Sports and Physical Education, Mohammad Din said that this victory has encouraged the players for second round.
Meanwhile giving details, he said that in the match, first goal was scored by Aqleem Makdoomi in sixteen minute of first half while playing at right half position.
The BGSBU team was leading 1-0 goal at half time. In the second half Sahil Kundal, while playing on left out position, scored second goal in 58th minute of the game. The Haridawar University team tried their level best to open their account but failed the break the defense of the winner team and ultimately BGSBU team was declared as winner.
The team is accompanied by R. C. Bhat as Coach.
Meanwhile Vice Chancellor Prof I A Hamal and Dean of Students Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary congratulated the players for winning opening match and has extended best wishes for qualifying for second round.
The second match will be played tomorrow against host Panjab University at 2:00 PM.
