“Don’t forget BJP ideology for power”

JAMMU: Dead terrorists might have given a fresh lease to terror-entrepreneurs like Hurriyat hawks in the Kashmir Valley, their ghosts have started haunting Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s Bharatiya Janata Party, which till tasting power, and pretended to be ultra-nationalists.
Reminding the power-lorn BJP ministers in Jammu and Kashmir about their seven-decade ideology, especially in the backdrop of Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh terming killing of terrorist Burhan Wani as an ‘accident’ (not intended to kill him), senior leader and MLC Ashok Khajuria on Sunday said the only job left to ministerial squad is to recommend the slain terrorist for country’s highest gallantry award. In a highly sarcastic observation, the visibly annoyed Khajuria said: “If for the chair, our BJP Mantris will keep supporting the dreaded militants, we will soon face waterloo in our core constituency”.
He said the people of Jammu have already stopped visiting them to seek redressal to their problems due to BJP ministers’ credibility deficit and “now we fear their wrath”, especially in the wake of line of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, echoed by her deputy, Nirmal Singh. Addressing the party function at Hotel Premier in Jammu, Khajuria lambasted the BJP ministers and leaders who are singing tunes of the Chief Minister in true spirit of HMV (Her Master’s Voice) to save their berths in the Ministry.
“We should be seen espousing the cause of Jammu people and defending national interest”, the veteran BJP leader said, advising the party to snap ties with the PDP for its continued support to militants. “Burhan was a terrorist and our security forces will kill hundreds of Burhans till the militancy is not completely rooted out,” Khajuria said, while appreciating the Indian forces for their courage and patience in handling Kashmir situation. Making a fervent appeal to the BJP ministers not to forget Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s patriotic fervour and philosophy, Ashok Khajuria regretted over their succumbing to pressure of the anti-national forces.
He said, ” BJP’s ideology and mission is to fight anti-national forces at any cost for a peaceful and developed nation and state.” MLC Khajuria demanded Ashok Chakra, the country’s highest peacetime military decoration, for the soldiers who killed Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, saying he was a terrorist who had to die. BJP’s point of view to deal with militancy is clear that the one who picks up a gun to disintegrate the country has to be dealt with an iron fist, he said. “Our viewpoint is clear, for us it is the message from Bhagwad Gita, BJP viewpoint is clear and we in no way support the policy of appeasement. BJP is a party of workers which does not work for a government.
It is a movement which is led by the workers, Khajuria said. The BJP’s threeday Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya Parshikshan Maha Abhiyan for all the districts of Jammu province concluded today at Hotel Premiere.
