HIRANAGAR: District Development Commissioner Kathua on Wednesday placed under suspension Block Development Officer (BDO), Hiranagar for dereliction of duty and unauthorised absence.
The BDO, called for duty on Tuesday evening, had failed to turn up and remained absent even on Wednesday.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Hiaranagar inspected the office of BDO at 11:00 AM and found him and two other officials absent.
BDO Kathua has been asked to take over the charge of the suspended officer with directions to establish the relief camp at Hiranagar.
Addl DC Kathua has been directed to hold an enquiry in the matter for further departmental action against the delinquent BDO.
