BBAJK organises 24th Mr J&K Championship
- Krishan Lal clinches Champion of Champion trophy

JAMMU: Krishan Lal has won the Champion of Champion trophy at the 24th Mr. Jammu and Kashmir Championship organized by Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir (BBAJK) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, which concluded at Tagore Hall, Srinagar here on Sunday.
About 100 body builders in different categories across the Jammu and Kashmir UT participated in the championship which provided an exceptional platform for participants to demonstrate their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The Championship was inaugurated by The Chief Guest, Arun Sharma by lighting the traditional lamp. Rajesh Dutta President BBAJK, Vinay Sharma Vice President BBAJK, Sanjay Bali, Feroz Shah General Secretary Kashmir Body Building Association, Fayaz, Sajjad were also graced the function.
In his inaugural address, Arun Sharma praised the efforts of the organizers for conducting such sports event across Jammu and Kashmir UT.
He emphasized the importance of channeling the energy of youth into constructive activities like sports, which also raise awareness against social evils, including drug addiction.
He further appreciated the Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir (BBAJK ) for selecting Tagore Hall Srinagar as the venue for this prestigious championship and expressed his support for organizing future events aimed at preparing body builders for Jammu and Kashmir UT and National levels Body Building competitions.
Rajesh Dutta, in his address, said, “In this cold wave the bodybuilders have their best performance and I want to say that this is a victory for the game and emphasized the importance of sports as a means to foster a healthy lifestyle.” He remarked, ”Addiction to sports is far better than addiction to drugs”, stressing the role of sports is not only improving physical health but also nurturing discipline and focus among the youth. He also said that youths are backbone of our nation and appealed them to take part in such activities to be a part nation’s growth.
Feroz Shah, General Secretary Kashmir Body Building Association, congratulated the members of the BBAJK especially Rajesh Dutta for his efforts to engage the youth of UT making them healthy and shunning the path of bad habits and use of drugs.
Javid Bhatti, Kamal, Vikas Khajuria, Sanjay Bali among the prominent who judged the event.
Vinay Sharma Vice President BBAJK presented the vote of thanks to all participants and dignitaries for making the championship a grand success.
He said, “We are committed for the welfare of people in all ways and such sports events will be continued for youths followed by other initiatives.”
Notable officials included Dr. Amar Singh, Vikas Gupta, Sanjay Bali, Feroz Shah, Reyaz and Sajjad.
In the final result, Krishan Lal has won Champion of Champion trophy and Fitrat emerged Physique Sports Champion, Jitender won Classic Sports Champion and Tajinder won Master category in the Championship.
