JAMMU: White Warriors led by Manoj Kumar defeated Red Warriors led by Anil Kapoor and Red Roses led by Nancy Gill took over White Lotus captained by Deepti Sharma in the finals of boys and girls Basketball competition respectively, organized by the Games and Sports Unit of Co-curricular Committee of MIER College of Education at its BC Road campus, here today.
The students of B. Ed and B. Ed Special Education Departments participated with great enthusiasm and commitment.
Director MIER, Dr. Renu Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta along with the staff members and the students of the college witnessed the matches and encouraged the participants.
Dr. Renu motivated the participants and appreciated their zeal and eagerness towards sports and games which will prove to be an asset to their personality and career.
A person’s personality is incomplete without physical development, she exhorted, and as such the teacher trainees need to understand its significance.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER also blessed and encouraged the students by his benign presence and motivating words.
The programme was organised by Reeta Dwivedi, Incharge Games and Sports Unit with the guidance and supervision of Usha Chunni, Sports Officer MIER along with the Basketball Coach, Felcus.
