Bashir calls to avail benefits of coop societies’ schemes

UDHAMPUR: A cooperative awareness programme was organised by Department Cooperatives Udhampur at Dak Bangalow on Wednesday.
Registrar Cooperative Societies J and K, Bashir Ahmed Bhat was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
While highlighting the objectives of the cooperative societies, Bhat said that cooperative movement have contributed a lot for the upliftment of the economical weaker section of the society. He said that the society playing an important role for the enhancement of the livelihood of the people even today.
He called upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of the schemes of the department especially design for the of the uplift of the socio economic status of the society.
He extended full support to redress the problems being faced by the employees as well as the cooperative institutions so that it would work more vibrantly for the welfare of the weaker section of the area. Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mrs. Anjana Tikku presented vote of thanks and also made aware the members of the different cooperative societies of the district of the schemes of the department on the occasion. Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Udhampur, Vikas Verma gave a detail account of activities being carried out by the department in the district.
Assistant Registrar, Krishan Lal, Chairman, DMS Udhampur, Shri Raj, General Manager CMS, Sudhmahadev, Jagdish Chand Anthal, Branch Incharge Women Credit Cooperative, Jammu, Sunder Shanta, Ex-serviceman Consumer Store, Durga Singh, Rep of NGOs were present on the occasion.
