Bar Association seeks people’s support for success of ‘Jammu Bandh’

Transporters abstain from Bandh call, to carry out routine activities

JAMMU: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu held a meeting on Sunday under leadership of its President, senior Adv M K Bhardwaj to finalise preparation for its Jammu Bandh call on Monday. It was also informed that formal letters of support have already been received from all District Bars of Jammu province including Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar, besides from Akhnoor, Bishnah, R.S.Pura, Billawar, Basholi, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Bhadarwah, Katra, Surankote & Hiranagar Bar Associations etc. J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu expressed gratitude towards these Bars and requested them to make Bandh call a success in their respective areas.
Pertinent to mention here that Bandh Call of Bar has already been supported by various political parties including BJP, Congress, National Conference, PDP, AAP, BSP, Apni Party, National Panther Party, Ek Jutt party, DSS, Shiv Sena, Duggar Pardesh party, besides by social organizations like Team Jammu, different Biradaris, District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu, International Sikh Awarness Front, Tata Sumo Van Operators Association, Sikh United Front J&K, Bharat Tibet Samvad Manch (J&K), J&K Christian Association, Swarnkar Sang Jammu, Maharaja Hari Singh Vichar Manch Jammu, OBC Department Pradesh Congress Committee (J&K), National Youth Bhagat Organization, (J&K), Gou Rakshak Organization (J&K) Jammu & Kashmir, Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference (JKGBYWC) and many others. The Chamber of Commerce, Traders Federation, Retailers Association, Transport organizations have already extended unconditional support to Bar for observing Bandh on August 29, 2022 as per call given by Jammu Bar Association. Senior Adv M K Bhardwaj urged all people of Jammu province to make Jammu Bandh call a grand success besides showing broader unity for identity and integrity of people of Jammu.
Meanwhile, Transporters Associations’ Union has decided to abstain itself from the Bandh call and has decided to carryout normal activities on August 29, like other days.
