JAMMU: Engineers XI and Churchill Brothers won their respective matches to advance in the ongoing Baranrsi Dass Memorial Football Tournament, organised by Young Rovers Club at GGM Science College Ground, here on Sunday. In the first match of the day, Engineers XI blanked Climrate Club beating latter 3-0. Sidharth (28th), Ram (35th) and Tanpreet (37th) were the scorers. Churchill Brothers also qualified for the next round after they made it a big 6-1 win against Hero Club. Adonis Mattoo (5th, 32nd) and Karan (16th, 18th) scored two goals each while Ritik (24th) and Moon Stephen (55th) were other goal scorers. Form Hero Club, Abhinash reduced the margin netting the ball in the 45th minute.
In other match of the day, Jammu United got walkover Jammu Sports. Among Special Guests were S.M Gill, Surjeet Singh Heer, Janak Raj Heer, Rakesh Kumar Chowhan, Krishan Lal, Fiestus Sotra, Paramjeet Singh, Bharat Bhushan and Mohan Lal.
FIXTURE: Christian Stars-B shall take on Young Tigers at 2:00 PM; Young Stars shall meet Musa Football Club at 4:00 PM tomorrow.
