Ban bursting cracker
Dear Editor,
The auspicious festival of Diwali-Deepawali is drawing nearer and the devotees are very eagerly waiting to celebrate this festival with enthusiasm, fervor, gaity, faith, myth and their respective tradition etc. all over the country and the devotees settled abroad as well.
Most of the devotees celebrate this auspicious festival by way of burning crackers etc. but as a citizen and a devotee I suggest my co-citizens and co-devotees to celebrate this august festival in a simple but impressive way i.e. by lighting candles, earthen ports-Rattan Deeps, electronic animated lights. To worship on this day not to make use of bursting crackers etc. which not only creates environmental pollution but also creates Co-carbon dioxide which leaves harmful effects for the health, living and survival of both living and non-living organisms.
Not only this millions of rupees are spent on bursting crackers etc. how much better it would be if this huge amount be saved and donated to Prime Minister’s, Chief Minister(s) Welfare Fund (s) to help the needy, poor and to construct/establish schools and hospitals and other welfare schemes for the orphans, poor and down trodden people of the nation/respective states. In the past we have seen many people mostly children getting injured while bursting crackers and instead of celebrating Diwali their families and relatives etc. have to attend the hospitals. Besides above, there are apprehensions that some anti-national elements may take undue advantage while bursting crackers. Therefore, I request both the Central and the State Governments to impose blanket bank on sale and purchase of crackers and do appeal my fellow devotees to celebrate this Materpuram Day in simple but impressive way as mentioned above and greet all the devotees and my well wishes in anticipation.
Hope, the government (s) will implement my suggestion if found worth implementation in the best interest of the common masses.
