Bali inaugurates medical center at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra

JAMMU: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat on Sunday inaugurated a Medical Center at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri, here.
The Medical Center is an initiative of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra to provide basic health facilities to the people free of cost. The doctors and paramedics will give their volunteer services.
Earlier, the minister participated in a function organised by the Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, a social organisation of Kashmiri Pandits to pay tributes to those who laid down their lives during the 1947-48 tribal invasion in Kashmir and during militancy.
The Health Minister lauded the contribution of the Kashmiri Pandit community in all spheres of life, particularly in the sector of education.
He said the community has been making continuous efforts to preserve its culture, ethos and identity which are aimed at strengthening the bonds of mutual brotherhood pluralism.
He also paid rich tributes to those who lost their lives in militancy related incidents and during tribal raids in Kashmir.
To supplement the services of the newly established health center, the minister said the government will extend necessary help for its suitable up-gradation from time to time. He congratulated the organisers for setting up medical center. Several prominent Kashmiri Pandit leaders including, MLC Surinder Mohan Ambardar, Chairman Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Prof T.N Shala, President, Avtar Krishan Trakroo, Padamshree Awardee, K.N Pandita, who were present on the occasion paid rich tributes to the community members who laid down their lives during the militancy.
A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
