Bajrang Dal, Amar Kshatriya Sabha organise Shastra Pooja

JAMMU: On the occasion of Vijay Dashmi, the Bajrang Dal, a youth wing of Vishav Hindu Parishad, organised Shastra Pooja here on Saturday.
On the occasion, Sant Dinesh Bharti was the Chief Guest. VHP Prant President Leela Karan Sharma, Prant Sanyojak Naveen Sudan, Seh Sanyojak Kartik Sudan and other Bajrang Dal activists performed Havan Poojan followed by the Shastra Pooja.
Bhagwan Ram on this day conquered Ravana after worshipping Mata Bhagwati for nine days.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajesh Gupta, Abhishek Gupta, Sagar Manik and Adhi.
Meanwhile, Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J and K organised a grand function of Shastra Pooja on the occasion of Dushera Festival here at Raj Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi.
Being traditional function, all the licensed weapons were cleaned on this day.
In this connection, a Havan was also organized in the Bhawan followed by the Shastra Poojan.
President Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha J&K, Kumar Naryan Singh, in his address, said that Dushera Festival reminds us the victory over evils.
“On this day, Bhagwan Rama killed Ravana for his tyrannical rule. The people of that era got rid of the tyrannical ruler and heaved a sigh of relief. On this day the old weapons are worshipped and cleaned for further use,” he added.
