Bail denied in rape case

JAMMU: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Y.P Kotwal rejected the bail application of one Amir Sheikh who was facing trial in rape case.
According to the police case that on 13th June, 2014 at about 8:00/8:30 PM when she was alone in her house, the applicant came there who had promised that he will hand over the project report for PG in subject English , the prosecutrix offered him water and enquired about project report by the accused told her that he has not brought it and will bring the same on the next day and pushed her on the bed and committed rape on her and on this police registered a case 376 RPC and started investigation and after completion of investigation Challan was presented and charge was framed on September 4, 2014.
Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Y.P Kotwal after hearing both the sides observed that the nature of the offence with which the accused has been charged was serious and taking the apprehension of APP G. S Charak if granted bail would jump the same which would hamper the investigation thus denied the bail. JNF
