JAMMU: Presidents of Sabhas/Mohallas/Basties/Wards and prominent persons of Jammu in general and Bahu Fort area in particular on Saturday held a protest against Abdul Rashid, MLA Langate, for objecting imposing of PSA on Shabir Ahmed Shah, who was allegedly involved in anti-national and antisocial activities. The members of various bodies/organizations said that one Shabir Ahmed Shah, son of Mohd Abdullah of Talab Khatikan Jammu is a history sheeter/criminal and land grabber.
“Shabir was doing all sorts of fraudulent deeds for which he has been booked number of times but he didn’t mend his ways,” they said , adding, “there are so many cases against him which include issuance of fake driving licenses, registration certificates, permits, fake authority letters etc.” Citing his various shoddy deeds, they said, “On 02/11/2011 Shabir Ahmed Shah made every effort to grab piece of land belonging to Shamshan Ghat at Jogi Gate by fixed a board depicting “Mosque under Construction” “But timely police action i.e. removal of board from site saved un warranted communal tension in the old city, they said.
Shabir Ahmed Shah encroached land with the help of Ab. Rashid, MLA, who has always given shelter to him, they said adding that despite the knowing that Shabir is notorious habitual criminal, cheater, trespasser, mischievous and desperate character, even MLA Langate raised issue of revoking imposition of PSA on Shabir Ahmed Shah in J&K Assembly.

Hussain Malik, Mohd. Rafiq Khan, Mohd Jaumma Khan, Akram Khan, Mohd. Shafi, Reham Din, Sakhi Mohd, Ahmed Din, Rashid Ahmed, Baldev Raj, Sunny Sangra, Ajay Singh, Chand Gupta, Vaishno Kapoor, Raj Kumar Gupta, Suraj Kumar Gupta, Om Parkash, Manohar Lal, Rattan Lal (Chairman), Anoop Sharma, Raj Kumar, Kemti Lal and Hardesh Khokhar.
