JAMMU: Bagala Mukhi Jayanti was celebrated with religious fervor here at Natraj Temple inside Raghunath Temple premises under the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust on Saturday.
Bagala Mukhi is one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom goddesses) in Hinduism. Bagala Mukhi Devi smashes devotee’s misconceptions and delusions (or the devotee’s enemies) with her cudgel. She is also known as Pitambara.
President J&K Dharmarth Trust B R Kundal IAS (Retd.) participated in Hawan organized on the occasion followed by Arti in the temple of Mata Bagala Mukhi Ji.
Hundreds of devotees and senior citizens took part in the Arti. A Bhandara was also organized in which large number of devotees took Prasad.
Secretary Shashi Khajuria and staff member of the Dharmarth Trust, Pawan Shastri President Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Hera Lal Abrol, and Pujaris of the Trust were also present on the occasion.
