JAMMU: Baffled over the outstanding performance by the BJP Governments both at the State and Central levels which is fast changing the developmental profile of the country, the opposition parties have started misleading the masses through a well concocted propaganda to instigate them for staging demonstrations and throwing normal life out of gear.
This was stated by MLA R.S Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat while addressing a press conference specially convened to dispense details regarding power infrastructure development in the R.S Pura Constituency by the BJP partnered Government in the State.
While patting the exemplary work done by the government on developing sustainable edifice to strengthen power scenario in R.S Pura, Gagan said that media persons also share the responsibility to highlight the exact details of the development profile to expose the opposition parties’ nefarious agenda to defame the incumbent dispensation despite its proactive and enthusiastic approach in providing succour to the people.
Dwelling on the development that has been done particularly in R.S Pura Constituency, he thanked Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, who is also the Power Minister of the State, for his sincere efforts in providing uninterrupted power supply to people.
Fortifying his stance, Gagan asserted that perhaps it was first time in the history of R.S Pura that a public Darbar cum grievances redressal camp was held at Maralian Dak Bunglow chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister of the State in which officers from all the departments were present to redress the issues especially regarding power and potable water supply. Gagan informed that Chief Engineer PDD Ashwani Gupta and XEn EM&RE-II Sudhir Gupta acting on the directions of Deputy Chief Minister have installed and upgraded many transformers including 250 KVA capacity at Premnagar Rattian, Ward Nos. 4, 7, 8 and 12 R.S Pura, Salehar, Ban Sultan, Gandli, Kothey Salehar, Gagian, Shiv Nagar R.S Pura, and CHC R.S Pura, and 100 KVA transformers at Jindlehar and Kotli
Mian Fateh besides more than 20 electric sub-stations are being proposed for new creation and up-gradation in the R.S Pura Constituency.
Giving details of the RAPDRP in the R.S Pura town, he said that with the efforts of the BJP led State Government the aforesaid programme has been started and it will benefit the town population by replacing the damaged conductors and poles besides metering in the area which will prevent illegal connections. “The opposition including Congress, NC and others is not able to digest the development work being done in the era of BJP partnered Government and are spreading rumours but in reality the onus of prevailing morass in the State lies on these parties only.
“The power scenario will take a new turn when schemes like DDUGJY and IPDS will come into full force. Since it is only a short span of 13 months that BJP has taken the reins of State, soon people will witness the sea change in the quality of life and facilities extended to them”, he assured firmly.
He also assured that a 6.3 MVA transformer will be installed at Kullian which will not only benefit the locals but shall also provide succour to surrounding Panchayats.
