SRINAGAR: Badminton tournament organised by IRP 2nd Bn, concluded on Saturday at Indoor Stadium, here. DIG IRP/Armed, Rafeeq-ul-Hassan was the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony.
In all, 174 men and women players participated in this tournament in ten categories viz under 13 male/female singles, under 17 male/female in singles/doubles and seniors male/female singles and doubles. Over 175 matches were played in the tournament.
Among others various district level officers and commandants and Deputy Commandants of Armed/IRP Kashmir based battalions, members of badminton association, sports council participants, students and spectators witnessed the closing ceremony of the tournament.
DIG IRP/Armed Rafeeq-ul-Hassan distributed the trophies among the winners and runner ups of the different categories.
He also distributed the medals and uniforms among the participants.
