SRINAGAR: DIG IRP /Armed Rafeeq-ul-Hassan inaugurated the badminton tournament organised by IRP 2nd Battalion under Civil Action Programme at indoor Stadium, here on Friday.
About 75 matches shall be played in under-13, under-17, boys, girls and senior category on knock-out basis.
Speaking on the inaugural function, Rafeeq-ul-Hassan said that these events are being organised to channelise the talent of youth towards the positive direction.
He further said that J&K police is providing a platform to the youth of the State to harness their capabilities in the field of sports and explore their talent.
Besides the senior police officers and officials of IRP 2nd Battalion, the inaugural function and today’s matches of the tournament were witnessed by a gathering of the sports lovers.
