BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Badminton Championship commenced at Jhelum Indoor Stadium Janbazpora, here on Saturday. Officers from District administration, Police and Army besides, a huge number of students were present on the occasion.
As many as 85 teams are taking part in the championship. Both doubles and singles teams of men and women will be playing in the tournament.
Rs. 15, 000 and RS 10,000 will be awarded to the winners and runners of the doubles events, respectively. Rs. 10,000 and 5,000 will be awarded to the winners and runners of the singles events, respectively, government official said.
