Jammu: A new-born baby girl was on Friday found abandoned at the bus stand area here, police said.
Some passerby noticed the infant and informed the police, an official said.
A police team rushed and rescued the baby. Later, the baby was admitted to Shri Maharaja Ghulam Singh (SMGS) Hospital for treatment and care, the official said.A case has been registered and investigations are on, police official said, adding that the CCTV footage from the nearby shops would be monitored to ascertain who had abandoned the baby.
