JAMMU: State unit of Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi celebrated the 85th Birth Anniversary of Babu Parmanand, former Governor Haryana and former Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly as ‘Equality and Brotherhood Day’ here on Saturday.
The function was organised under the chairmanship of Sudesh Kumari, President of the Akademi.
Vijay Bhagat, General Secretary of Akademi, threw light on the life of Babu Parmanand. Others who spoke on the occasion include H.R Phonsa, Sewa Dass Digra, Chaman Kanathia, RK Kalsotra, Charan Dass, S.D Bhagat, O.D Attari, Somnath Sharma and Thakur Kashmira Singh.
