Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament;Khalsa Club Gole Gujral to face MBS Club Simbal Camp in final

JAMMU: Khalsa Club Gole Gujral to face MBS Club Simbal Camp in the final of Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakku Stadium, here on 28th January, 2017.
Earlier in the first semifinal played on Tuesday, MBS Club Simbal Camp blanked GNN Club Nanak Nagar by 2-0. Formidable MBS Club players dominated from the word go and succeeded in scoring the first goal through Randeep Singh in 16th minute of the match, which was followed by second goal again by Randeep Singh in 29th minute.
In this match, Dr Sanjogita Soodan Sports Medicine Specialist of J and K Police was the Chief Guest while Joint Secretary J and K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma was the Guest of Honour.
In another semifinal, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral defeated Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar by 3-0. Inderpal Singh scored first goal in 27th minute followed by Ravneet and Balmeet Singh, who netted the ball in 37th and 58th minutes of the match respectively.
Second match was witnessed by Iqbal Singh (retd) Manager J&K Bank as the Chief Guest and Harbans Singh Reen veteran hockey player as the Guest of Honour.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Karanjit Singh, J.S Reen, Joginder Singh, Satvir Singh, Jagjeet Singh and Iqbal Singh.
Others present were Jaswant Singh Senior Vice President Hockey J and K, Rajinder Singh Senior Vice President Hockey India, G.S Bakshi General Secretary Hockey J and K, M.S Reen Resident Secretary and R.S Bitta member.
