B2V4: Excise Commissioner tours Panchayat Parwah, inspects developmental works

JAMMU: During the ongoing Back to Village programme, Excise Commissioner, J&K, Pankaj Kumar Sharma on Monday visited Panchayat Parwah, Block Marh and held direct interaction with PRI members and the inhabitants of Panchayat.
Pankaj Sharma interacted with the Sarpanches and Panches along with senior citizens of the Panchayat who apprised them about various issues and grievances faced by them. Number of demands were projected before Pankaj Sharma, who gave a patient hearing to the people and said that all their genuine demands will be looked into and would be putforth at an appropriate forum for redressal.
While interacting with people, the Excise Commissioner said that the aim and objective of the B2V4 programme is to reach out to the people at their door steps, listen to their demands and issues for early redressal. He appealed to people to come forward and participate enthusiastically in the programme.
On the occasion, Pankaj Sharma also distributed land passbooks among the farmers. He said that it is a landmark initiative taken by the J&K Government to provide Land Passbooks to the lawful land owners to further improve the service delivery, enhance transparency and accountability in the system.
He also inaugurated Rural Haat and inspected various stalls/counters exhibited by different departments. The Excise Commissioner also inspected ongoing and competed works in Panchayat, Panchayat Ghar and other infrastructure, PMAY houses, IHHL under SBM and ration depot and enquired about the grievance redressal mechanism being adopted to the satisfaction of the public. He also interacted with senior citizens and asked them for establishment of old age group. He also visited Anganwari Centre and reviewed its function.
The Excise Commissioner also inaugurated various sports activities and distributed sporting kits among them and deliberated upon them to contribute in national building. He also administered Integrity Pledge to all the participants.
