JAMMU: India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day on 15th August, 2022. JK Group of Colleges organized a week long programme to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The celebration started with Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Bharat, Azadi Ka Jashan” in which the students participated with full enthusiasm. The patriotic song competition was organized on 10thAugust, 2022 wherein the students sang beautiful patriotic songs conveying the message of love for Mother India.
A poetry recitation competition was conducted on 11th of August, 2022 with the motive to promote the sense of pride towards our mission and generate the feel of oneness among the fellow citizens. The beautiful poems indeed did full justice to the theme.
The conclusion of celebration was done with the presentation of a variety program consisting of group dances, patriotic songs and a video depicting the atrocities inflicted upon the freedom fighters in cellular jail, Andaman and Nicobar by the Britishers. Shashi Chaudhary, Principal, addressing on the occasion urged the students to always remember the efforts of our great freedom fighters. We should show our gratitude towards the great leaders by becoming dutiful and loyal citizens of this amazing nation. The program ended with recitation of national Anthem by the students.
