JAMMU: Paying homage to BSF Jawans who lost their lives near International Border due to unprovoked Pakistani shelling and firing, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday condemned Pakistan terming it as cowardly act.
Reacting sharply to the killings of BSF Jawans and loss of livestock and destruction of civilian properties near international border at Abdullian, Gajansoo and Hiranagar in Jammu due to unprovoked firing from across the border, Azad said it is unfortunate and unbecoming of neighbouring country like Pakistan to behave so callously resulting in this disaster. “Pakistan should not violate the peaceful atmosphere in border areas which claim precious human lives and causes destruction. I feel Pakistani Government is losing grip on its armed forces which has been behaving in such a manner. Our patience should not be construed as our weakness”, said Azad. He paid his homage to the martyred BSF Soldiers and also expressed grief and anguish on the loss of life and destruction to the civilian population.
