AWICT demands to fill-up all posts of commissions

JAMMU: National President, Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust (AWICT), Aditi Sharma said that  most of the  important commissions in the State or either headless or vacant.

In a recent reply Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed disclosed that out of six important commissions five were vacant, Aditi told reporters, here on Sunday. She added these include Accountability Commission, Human Rights Commission and Commission for Women.

Apart from this post of Chairperson of Commission for Backward Classes and Electricity Regulatory Commission were also lying vacant for quite some time, she added.

Inspite of assurances these commissions have not been made functional and public is made to suffer, she said adding that the names for PSC have been recommended but this important commission is yet to take off.

“Government must come up to people’s aspirations and fill all vacant posts at the earliest in order fulfill their commitments,” she asked.

She also demanded appointment of chairperson for Commission for Women.
