DODA: Handloom Development Department Doda under the supervision of Assistant Director Handicrafts Development Department Doda G.R Dar, on Monday organised an awareness camp at District Handicraft Office Doda for grass root awareness to weaver community about the various State and Centrally Sponsored Benefit and Welfare Schemes.
Assistant Commissioner Development Doda Dhananter Singh, LDM Doda N.C Sambyal, DDM NABARD Rajesh Badyal, DM J&K Bank Doda Arun Gandotra besides bank managers from various bank branches and weavers from across the district were present on the occasion.
ACD Doda Dhananter Singh while addressing the weaver community on the occasion said that there is tremendous scope for the development and uplift of handloom and handicraft sector in the district.
AD Handloom Development Doda asked the weavers to come forward to the departmental schemes and take benefits from the said schemes especially Weavers Credit Card (WCC) Scheme. Nizam-ud-Din Batt ACSS also spoke on the occasion.
