POONCH: In yet another accident on Friday four persons were seriously injured when a four wheeler auto rolled down from Poonch – Deghwar Road near brick kiln due to bad road condition.
All the injured were immediately shifted to District Hospital Poonch but three persons including the driver whose condition was critical, were evacuated to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital Jammu.
Those shifted to GMC include Thomas and Kavi both residents of Odisha and Ibrar Shah son of Noor Shah resident of Deghwar, Poonch while Papu Sharma also resident of Odisha is admitted in District Hospital Poonch.
Fifteen passengers were injured when a vehicle rolled down from the same damaged road about 20 days back and the people had held a protest against the Executive Engineer PWD Poonch demanding immediate repair to the road.
No cognisance was taken by the Building and Roads Department which resulted into the second accident within a period of less than one month at the same spot.
People of the area have appealed to the MLA Poonch Shah Mohd Tantray to take serious notice of the department’s inaction to repair the road which continuous to endanger human lives.
