Attendant manhandles MO, FIR registered

BHADARWAH: Patients were left cooling their heels as work was suspended for some time due to the chaos after a Medical Officer was allegedly manhandled by the attendants at Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah on Thursday.
According to the reports, Medical Officer, Dr Sunil Kumar who was on emergency duty was manhandled by the attendants who reportedly refused to bring the patient in ward and insisted treatment inside the car, resulting in chaos and suspension of work for some time.
“Actually 3-4 persons came with a patient, who was already referred to DH Doda. They insisted me to treat him in their car. I asked them to bring patient inside the ward but they refused and started misbehaving and even thrashed me,” said Dr Sunil Kumar.
Later Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhadarwah, Owais Ahmed visited the hospital and assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits as soon as the culprits are identified.
“I personally reached the spot along with police representatives to assess the situation and investigation of the matter is going on. Strict action under law will be taken against culprits found involved in this issue,” said SDM Bhadarwah Owais Ahmed.
“We have registered a case FIR No 13/2017 under section 353,332 RPC at Police Station Bhadarwah and investigation is going on,” said SHO Bhadarwah Jatinder Sambyal.
Meanwhile strike put Emergency and OPD patients of SDH Bhadarwah to inconvenience as there was no one to attend them for at least one hour.
