JAMMU: Condemning the attack as attempt to murder on the Kirtan Jatha of Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale who was on his way after preaching the Samagam, various Sikh organisations of Jammu and Kashmir demanded action against the real culprits and to punish them under law.
Condemning the attempt to murder on the Sikh community religious preachers who spread the lesson of love, unity and equality among the general masses, Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary Sikh United Front, J and K, criticised the Punjab Coalition Government for delaying the arrest of real culprits.
He demanded action against the real culprits and to punish them under law as the sentiments of Sikh community have been hurt.
Criticising the present DGPC Jammu for creating disunity and misunderstanding and revolt against Akal Takhat Sahib Amritsar for not celebrating the Parkash and Shaheedi Purabs of Sikh Gurus, Avtar said that the Sikhs in J and K always stood by the Nanak Shahi calendar issued by SGPC Amritsar and adopted by Sheromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch. He appealed to the Sikh Sangat to celebrate their religious festivals according to Nank Shahi Calendar as the majority of the DGPC Jammu is with the Nanak Shahi Calendar and present DGPC Jammu is in minority on this issue.
