JAMMU: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) expressed strong resentment against the notice issued by State Bank of India wherein it has been made mandatory for the candidates that they must be proficient in Urdu language.
President ASKPC, Advocate Ravinder Raina termed it a great human right violation wherein only two regions of the State will get benefit and ignoring the internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits because they cannot apply as they do not know the official language so also the candidates of Jammu region.
“It is total deviation of the recruitment policy as laid down by the bank and State Bank of India should change the notification immediately and issue a fresh wherein all the aspirants of the State can apply,” he added.
Raina appealed to the Finance Minister to look into the matter and direct SBI authorities to rescind the notification and issue a new one wherein every candidate of the State is able to apply for the post in SBI.
