JAMMU: Students of ASCOMS have clinched five medals in the inter-college men’s swimming competition, organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at MA Stadium, here on Thursday.
Mithlesh Wanchoo, final year student of ASCOMS won gold medal in in 100 mt Butterfly and one silver each in 200 mt and 50 mt Freestyle while Anuj Gupta, pre final year student, got one bronze medal each in 100 mt Freestyle and 100 mt Breaststroke.
Earlier, swimmers from seven affiliated colleges of JU, GDC Rajouri, ASCOMS, GDC Samba, SPMR College of Commerce, GGM Science College, Government MAM College and PG Departments contested for top honours in different events.
The competition witnessed besides others by Ajaz Malik, Tanvir Ahmed, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Raj Kumar, Balbir Singh, Vikas Magotra, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Jai Bharat.
