VIJAYPUR: Arvind Ghosh Hr. Sec. School Vijaypur organised its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution function in the school premises with great pomp and show in which Ex Member Parliament S. Tarlok Singh Bajwa was the Chief Guest whereas S. Manjit Singh Ex MoS J and K State presided over the function.
I.D Soni State Commissioner of J and K Bharat Scouts and Guides was the Guest of the Honour. The programme started with the welcome speech by the students followed by Saraswati Vandana.
During the function tiny tots of the school presented very heart touching items which includes Lungi Dance and other cultural items including Gidda , Bhangra,Dogri and Rajasthani Dance. During his speech Chief Guest S. Tarlok Singh Bajwa stressed upon providing moral education to the students and also appreciated the management of the school for organising such a grand colourful function. The meritorious students of the school who got distinctions and first positions in board exams were awarded with the trophies by the management of the school.
Ex Minister of State S. Manjit Singh while addressing the gathering said that this institution has given many students to the society who have brought laurels to the school including doctors engineers and in other fields. I.D Soni Bharat Scouts and Guides Commissioner also appreciated the management for their active participation in all the events organised by the different departments from time to time. S. Gurdeep Singh Principal of the Institution presented annual report card.
