JAMMU: Arun Gupta has been re-elected as President for the third consecutive term while Manish Gupta as Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu, the election for which held on Sunday.

(Pic by Ashok Anand)The Biennial Elections of Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the term 2025-27 were conducted at Chamber House under the supervision of election committee headed by Shiv Partap Gupta.
Arun Gupta was declared elected as President for the third consecutive term. He secured 1461 votes and defeated Rakesh Gupta with the margin of 171 votes. Rakesh bagged 1290 votes.
Anil Gupta was elected as Senior Vice President. He bagged 1603 votes and defeated Deepak Aggarwal, who secured 1010 votes.
Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) was elected as Junior Vice President. He bagged 1812 votes and defeated Sunil Gupta (Kodha) who secured 916 votes.
Manish Gupta was declared elected as Secretary General. He secured 1487 votes and defeated his rival, Rahul Mahajan who bagged 1226 votes. Rajesh Gupta (Rinku) was elected as Secretary by securing 1496 votes. His rival, Ashu Gupta got 1144 votes.
Rajesh Gupta (Raju) was elected as Treasurer. He bagged 1295 votes and defeated Manik Gupta, who secured 739 votes while Rajeev Langer got 602 votes. Immediately after the election results were announced by the Election President, jubilations commenced among the Arun Gupta led group.
The newly elected office bearers were profusely garlanded by their supporters. The sweets were distributed on the occasion and many were found dancing on drum beats at the Chamber House. It was like festive occasion throughout the day at Chamber House.
